Polarity Check
Most vehicles have standard polarity where the left side of the injector is 12 volts. However we are finding more and more vehicles with reverse polarity. We are now checking all vehicles to improve our database for future purchases. To perform this you will need a volt meter, multi-meter or test light.
- Disconnect any one of the injectors.
- Turn the ignition switch to the on position. Do not start the vehicle.
- Touch the meters black or negative probe to the negative battery post or other ground point.
- Touch the meters red or positive probe to one of the injector connector's terminals.
- Verify which terminal is 12 volts. If the left side is 12 volt, than your vehicle is standard polarity. If the right side is 12 volts than it is reverse polarity.
